Wayne C Bicksler

Wayne C. Bicksler 84, of Freeport died at Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris.  He was born February 4, 1938, in Freeport, IL and was the son of Archibald and Orelda (Brandt) Bicksler.

He graduated from Leaf River High School in 1956.  He married Donna Mae Groen in 1978 in Oregon, IL she preceded him in death on July 25, 2012.  Wayne worked as a machinist for Seward Screw and Barber-Colman retiring after 50+ years in 2004. Wayne loved to travel throughout the United States and Europe.  He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan living the dream back in 2016 when the Cubs won the World Series.

Survivors include; children; Scott (Ming) Bicksler of Rockford, Matt (Christina) Bicksler of MA, Mark (Louise) Bicksler of NY, Barb (Terry) Coleman of Leaf River, Susan (William) Tsoukalas of CT, and daughter in law: Julie of Forreston.  Grandchildren; Adam Bicksler, Chase Bicksler, Aryn Bicksler, Jack Bicksler, Tucker Bicksler, and Ethan Walker. Sister; Dorothy (Tom) Mahon of Byron.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, son; Kenny Bicksler, sisters; Lois Russell, Ethel Svanda, brothers; Kenneth, Russell, and Donald. Granddaughters; Alexis Walker, Angela DeCicco, and his first wife Sandra.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:00am at Finch Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Caldwell officiating.  Burial will be immediately following the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeport.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 10:00am until the time of service.  Memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 405 E.
