Robert W. Kump "Hoppy" age 76 died April 18, 2020 in the comfort of his daughter's home. He was born in Oregon, IL on May 10,1943 to Charles Kump Sr. and Florence (Steffa) Kump. He lived most of his life in Mt. Morris.
He is survived by his wife Hannah Kump; Daughters: Terrie Kump of Byron, Sherry (Brad) Schumacher of Mt. Morris and Bobbi Kump of Mt. Morris. He is also has 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Robert also has several friends that meant a great deal to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings; Janet Dunivan, Charles Kump Jr., Richard Kump, Floretta Barrara, and Chris Kump.
He worked at Kable Printing for 13 years before going into construction until retirement. Of the many projects he worked on; one of which was the Byron Nuclear Plant.
Robert was an avid Greenbay Packers fan. At any given time during a game he would start yelling at the t.v. He was also very passionate about fishing. Whether by boat or land, he spent many hours trying to catch the next big fish. In the winter he spent a lot of time snowmobiling which consisted of many trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Robert was known for his humor, sarcasm, and playfulness. One of his often said quotes "if I didn't pick on you, you would think I was mad at you". He was loved by many.
Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. An announcement will be made as to when and where it will be held.
