Mark Gruszeczka Obituary

Oregon, IL, Mark J. Gruszeczka, age 59, a longtime resident of Oregon, passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021 in his home. Born February 23, 1961 in Peoria, IL the only son of John & Phyllis Jean (Middleton) Gruszeczka.

Mark attended school in Kewanee and Walnut, IL before moving to Oregon where he graduated from Oregon High School class of 1979.

He worked out of the Labors Union Local #727 in Dixon for many years until he retired for health reasons. Mark excelled at the game of golf, starting when he was only 8 years old. Fishing was also a hobby that he enjoyed.

Mark is survived by his son: Robert Gruszeczka, Oregon, IL; mother & step-father: Phyllis Jean (Darrell) Kump, Oregon, IL.

He is preceded in death by his father: John Gruszeczka, Kewanee, IL; and grandparents: Gean (Ruth) Middleton, Walnut, IL.

Cremation rights have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Due to Covid-19 a memorial may be held at a later date for family and friends.

Memorial fund may be sent to the family for disposition. Interment will be held in Daysville Cemetery, Oregon, IL
