Marilyn and I were best friends 50 years ago and shared many happy outings with our children.  We helped start the first paying preschool in Polo.  We enjoyed going to Polo evening Women's Club.  As life took us in different directions, we lost regular contact.  I am glad she is at peace now and pray for her family to accept the difficult ending to a life of kindness.

Marilyn and I were not only favorite cousins but were like sisters . Our families celebrated holidays together . We were both born in 1942, went to different colleges . After we both got married , my husband got a job in Corvallis, Oregon so we moved there and John and Marilyn stayed in Illinois .
We didn’t come back to Illinois often but We kept in touch through email ,letters and visits at family weddings .
I will close by saying I will always keep Marilyn in my heart♥️♥️
Much love,
Susan Holmes Creighton

Oh I remember the cookies. Marilyn was awesome. Not only was she surprisingly tolerant of myself and John's other friends when we were teens, she was more than happy to let me make make their house my second home. So very kind, she'll be missed by many. I have extremely fond memories of those times... and those cookies.
