Isabelle Krol

   Mt. Morris, IL, Isabelle Krol, age 92, went to be with our Lord Jesus on Tuesday August 23, 2022, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL.  Isabelle was born on June 4, 1930, in Dour, Belgium; the daughter of Nicolas and Rose (Fleurant) Duez.  She graduated from high school in Belgium.  Isabelle met her future husband at a Christmas Eve dance, and married Zenon Krol on December 6, 1952, in Dour, Belgium. They came to the United States in 1953 and made a good life for their family. They both took classes to become American Citizens. When they became naturalized citizens of this wonderful country, they said it was one of the happiest days of their lives. Zenon preceded Isabelle in death on September 12, 2008.  She was a home maker, taking care of their three children. She also worked as a governess to many other fortunate babies and children throughout her working years. Isabelle was a volunteer for several years with Serenity Hospice of Oregon, Illinois. One of her favorite past times was visiting with and doing all kinds of crafts, card making, and cookie baking with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and brought many wonderful recipes from Belgium to share with her family. 

  Isabelle was a long-time member of the Mt. Morris Church of the brethren, Mt. Morris, IL.

  Isabelle is survived by her children: Catherine (Robert) Geiger, Elburn, IL, Bruce (Joanne) Krol, Sparta, NJ, and Rose Marie (William) Diedesch, Ormond Beach, FL; grandchildren: Melanie (Wes) Dafler, St. Charles, MO, Caroline (Fred) Meighan, Vancouver, WA, Eric (Natalie McDonald) Geiger, Memphis, TN, Michelle and Rebecca Krol, Sparta, NJ, Steven Diedesch, DeKalb, IL, Roy Diedesch, Oswego, IL, Laura Diedesch, Port Orange, FL; 3 great grandchildren: Eve-Marie, Spencer, and Bennett Dafler, St. Charles, MO; and her beloved God child: Annie Martin, Belgium.

  Isabelle is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Zenon; brother: Louis; and sister: Henriette.

  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Mt. Morris Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Rodney Caldwell officiating.  Burial will be in held in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in the Brethren Church.
