Geneva Florence Boone

   Mt. Morris, IL, Geneva Florence Mueller Boone, age 93, passed away on Sunday April 21, 2024 in Serenity Hospice &Home, Oregon, IL.  Geneva was born on September 1, 1930 in Menominee, Michigan; the daughter of Ernest &Vivian (Hiatt) Mueller.  She graduated from Wausaukee High School in Wisconsin.  Geneva married Horace Boone on May 1, 1954 in McAllister, WI; and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2009. Geneva worked for Watt Publishing, Hough Hardware, Jamesway, Kable News Company, and Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.  She like to garden and read, but most of all her time with her grandchildren, and great grandsons.

  Geneva is survived by her children: Vivian Atteberry, Mt. Morris, IL; Tim (Vivian) Boone, Ocala, FL; Pam Boone, Mt. Morris, IL; and Connie (Bill) Horst, Mt. Morris, IL; 6 grandchildren: Christopher (Allyson Clark) Boone, Winter Garden, FL; Jared (Martha) Horst, Brookshire, TX; Zach (Ryan Starkey) Horst, Polo, IL; Danielle Horst, Forreston, IL; Jessica (Frank) Rago, Carol Stream, IL; and Justin (Katie Pollard) Atteberry, Marblehead, MA; great grandsons: JJ Horst, Lincoln Rago, Lennon Rago, and another due in August; sister: Joan Bantle, Marinette, WI; brother: Bob Mueller, Marinette, WI; and sister in law: Barbara Boone.

  Geneva is preceded in death by her father: Ernest; mother: Vivian; step mother: Alice; husband: Horace Boone; and son in law: Dave Atteberry.

  Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.  Private family burial will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
