Edward Rasmussen Obituary

Edward “Ed” Rasmussen was born in Amboy, IL on August 17th, 1945 to Wesley and LaVonne (Yonk) Rasmussen. He passed away Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at the Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Serenity Hospice after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and LaVonne Rasmussen, brothers Jerry and Vernon Rasmussen, and his current wife Gail Rasmussen, and prior wives Nona and Vicki. He survived by his sons Michael (Monica) Rasmussen of Dixon, Rick (Bonnie) Rasmussen of Eldena, several step-children and his grandchildren Madaleine, Eric, Emily, Hunter, and Chase. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapshooting. At Ed’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Cremation rights have been accorded. In leu of a memorial the family asks that you simply take a child hunting or fishing, or just simply go out and enjoy the great outdoors.
