Donald Charles Price

Mt. Morris, IL, Donald Charles Price, age 70, passed away on November 11, 2021 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL.   Don was born on July 6, 1951 in Pensacola, FL, the son of Charles R. & Dorothy (Kornor) Price.  Don attended high school in Virginia and received his GED while serving in the US Navy, and he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Sciences from George Washington University, Washington DC.  He married Jeannine Drexler on June 29, 1992 in Suffolk, VA. 

  Don served in the US Navy as a Surface Warfare Advanced Hospital Corpsman Chief.

 He moved to Mt. Morris from Williamsburg, VA in August of 1992.  Since moving to Mt. Morris, he worked for the Byron Nuclear Power Plant in Security.  Don was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, IL, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 143,

  Don is survived by his wife: Jeannine Price, Mt. Morris, IL; children: Lenard Charles (Shana) Jones, Fort Hood, TX and Elizabeth (John) Fischer, Raleigh, NC; 7 grandchildren; and brother: J.D. (Julie) Price North Carolina.

  Don is preceded in death by his parents and brother: Ray.

  Funeral services for Don will be held on Friday November 19, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, IL; with Father Joseph Naill officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL.  Visitation will be held on Thursday November 18, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.
