Donald Baugous Obituary

Donald Baugous, longtime Oregon resident, passed away on February 9, 2022. Don was born June 1, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Roy and Thelma (Green) Baugous. In 2003, Don retired from E.D. Etnyre where he was employed as a Product Specialist for 38 years.

October 27, 1978, Don married Marcia Allen. Upon his retirement, he and his wife purchased an RV and spent the next eight years traveling. Don was an avid fisherman. He loved Nascar and was a devoted Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent hours working in his yard and garden.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia, sister, Colleen Woods and very special family members David, Becky, Jake and Abby Duke and his faithful puppy, Daisy Duke who was always at his side. He was predeceased by both his parents, his brother Dwayne Baugous of California and his stepson, Rick Haas.

In keeping with his wishes, Don will be cremated and burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Becky Duke, 310 Aldrin Street, Oregon, IL 61061 and the Duke Family will decide who to dedicate the memorial to. Finch Funeral Home assisted with the funeral arrangements.

Don’s family would like to thank Dr. Reckamp for the constant care he has given Don, Dr. Hanif for his expert skills in cardiology and also a special thank you to the staff at KSB Hospital. The nurses there were wonderful. Thank you all so very much.
