Alan S Hall

  Mt. Morris, IL, Alan S. Hall, age 75, passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2021 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL.  Alan was born on May 25, 1946 in Rockford, IL, the son of William S. & Margery L. (Halladay) Hall.  He graduated from Rockford East High School class of 1964, he received his bachelor of science from Illinois State University in 1969, he attended Indiana Wesleyan University and Aurora University for Graduate Studies, and he had additional studies with the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  Alan married Carol B Jones on June 9, 1969 in Plattville, IL. 

  Alan was Sr. Automation Application Engineer, Sr. Training Engineer with Barber- Colman Co.; Marketing Support Manager with Teletrol Inc; Marketing Application/ Training Director with Pacific-Scientific Co.; President of HMH Marketing Corporation; Marketing Manager/Product Manager with Dynacorp; Vice President of Marketing with Qualitron Sysytems; Marketing Director for small business resources; consultant with human potential development; president/consultant with Hexagon Marketing, and he was vocational director/teacher for Pecatonica CUSD #321, Pecatonica, IL. 

  Alan was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL; he was a Ham radio operator(K9FFN), member of Gamma Theta Upsilon Professional Fraternity, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineer, Association of Energy Engineers, he was a member of the NEA and IEA.  Alan loved spending time with his wife, Carol, for more than 52 years, camping and nature, his cigars, always had a cat in his lap, fishing in Northern Minnesota, industrial arts, craftsmanship, designing, and building projects, and fixing things, he built his home where he raised 3 boys in, in his early years Alan traveled the world and in his later years he loved collecting fine antiques, spending time with his sister Sue and brother-in-law Gary who was more like a brother to Alan.

  Alan is survived by his wife: Carol B. Jones, Mt. Morris, IL; 3 sons: Kevin W.(Kate) Hall, Macomb, IL, Scott E. (Melanie) Hall, Eldridge, IA, and Brian P. (Dawn) Hall, Henderson, NV; 11 grandchildren: Zachary, Kelsey, Bailey, Alexis, William T., Jenavieve, Megan, Lauren, Annastasia, Sophia, William N. Hall; sister: Susan (Gary) Edgren, Rockford, IL.

  Alan is preceded in death by his parents.

  A private family and friends service will be held at a later date.
