Oregon, IL, Wayne E. Bearman, age 94, passed away on Monday November 14, 2022 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL.  Wayne was born on August 16, 1928 in Pine Creek Township, IL; the son of John W. & Ella A. (Rohns) Bearman.  He graduated from Mt. Morris High School.  Wayne served in the United States Army serving during the Korean War.  Wayne married Mary Ellen Gerbers on February 21, 1954 in Ashton, IL; and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2014.  Wayne worked for the United States Postal Service until he retired.  He also drove Ogle Lee Transport, worked for Habitat for Humanity, Lifeline, and volunteered for many organizations.  Wayne donated to many charities, youth organizations, Native American Reservations, and ASPCA.

Wayne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served in many capacities.  He was an avid reader of Western novels and enjoyed mowing and yard work, watching golf on TV, spending time with his family; but mostly his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his son: Kris (Sheila) Bearman, Byron, IL; grandchildren: Nicole (Chris) Panzer, Naperville, IL and Bryan Bearman, Denver, CO; great grandchildren: Bryson and Brennen Panzer, Naperville, IL and Blaire and Logan Bearman, Denver, CO; brother: Larry Bearman; sister: Jerre Woodworth.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Mary Ellen; brother: Richard; and granddaughter: Jenny Bearman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Josh Ehrler officiating.  Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery, Ashton, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday November 18, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in Trinity Lutheran Church.
