Vivian M Unger

Mt. Morris, IL, Vivian M. Unger, age 94, died Tuesday May 26, 2015 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Vivian was born on September 4, 1920 in Donora, PA the daughter of Orval B. & Myrtle (Berwick) Hiscox. She graduated from Oregon High School class of 1938. Vivian married William E. Unger Sr. on September 28, 1940 in Mt. Morris, IL, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2007. Vivian worked for Sweet Advertising and McGregor Magazine Agency as an office manager retiring in 1984. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was on the Chancel & Alter Society. Vivian was also with the Mt. Morris Home Extension, Mt. Morris Senior Center, Ogle County United Way, and was very active in the American Field Service. Vivian is survived by her Son: Gregory (Roseann) Unger, Mt. Morris, IL; Daughters: Margaret (Bobby) Sydnor, Ormond Beach, FL and Virginia (Roger) Corbitt, Polo, IL. 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild . Vivian is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband: William; Son: William Unger Jr.; Brothers: Orval J. Hiscox, Earl Hiscox, and Oren Hiscox; Sister: Mildred Stanton. Memorial services will be on Sunday May 31, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in Plainview Cemetery with Rev Frank Lay officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church.
