Mt. Morris, IL, Virginia Pearl Heberg, age 100, died Sunday February 2, 2014 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Virginia was born May 5, 1913 in Pinecreek Township, Ogle County, IL, the daughter of James G. & Elsie M. (Flook) Personette. When she was 8 years old her family moved to Mt. Morris. There, Virginia grew up and attended the Mt. Morris schools. While living in Mt. Morris, she worked at the Ben Franklin store, the Royal Blue grocery store and Kable Printing. She married John Beaver from Freeport. They divorced on August 13th, 1954, after which Virginia moved to downtown Chicago where she worked at the Chicago Tribune for 5 years. It was during this time that Virginia met Irvin B. Heberg. They were married on September 27, 1958 in Mt. Morris, IL. They lived in Villa Park, IL for 11 years before retiring to the west coast of Florida. They traveled extensively throughout North America after retirement. They returned to Mt. Morris in 1983 where Irvin preceded her in death later that year. Virginia was a homemaker and enjoyed several hobbies, including hooking rugs, jig saw puzzles and painting-by-number. She was a life time member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Mt. Morris Ladies of the Moose, the Disciples United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris, and the Mt. Morris Senior Citizens Center. Virginia is survived by her brother: Robert (Kathy) Personette, Mt. Morris, IL and many nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: Irvin; Son: James; Brothers: Roy, Clyde, Frank, James Carl, and Donald Personette; and Sister: Lois Hachmeister. Memorial services will be in the spring. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Finch Funeal Home 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL is assisting the family with services. Memorials to Mt.
