Vicki Lynn Dempewolf Young

Vicki Lynn "Carr" Dempewolf-Young, 61 of Oregon, IL passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2017,after a long illness, at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon, IL. Vicki was born on October 9,1956 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. She was the second oldest child to Richard D. (Dick) Carr and Patricia A.(Jones) Carr. She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. Vicki married Bob Young on December 17,1999, and he preceded her in death. She will be missed dearly by her mother Patricia Carr-Rosenbalm; daughters; Lindsay Dempewolf and Trisha Dempewolf; sisters Linda (Cliff) Greenhow, Lori (Tim) Benesh, brothers Steve (Joanne) Carr, Stan (Mary) Carr and Doug Carr, very special granddaughters Mackenzie, Taylor and ABrianna; Aunt Emmy Spickler and Uncle Leonard Jones; many nieces and nephews, and special friend Jack "Gomez" Boyden. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard; husband Robert "Bob" Young; special grandson Kaleb Reeverts and step-father George Rosenbalm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 11:00-2:00 with a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Brad Johnson officiating at the VFW Post 8739 1310 W. Washington Street, Oregon, IL 61061. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vicki's name can be made to Serenity Hospice Home, 1658 IL Rt. 2, Oregon, IL 61061.
