Alberquerque, New Mexico - Todd Allen Moore, 72, died March 12, 2010 at Northwest Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Born on November 14, 1937 to John E. and Helen M. (Babcock) Moore. He married Barbara D. Mayfield on December 21, 1963 in Freeport, IL. He graduated from Freeport High School, received a bachelor degree in English and a masters degree in Library Science from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. He worked as an English teacher at Belvidere High School, Belvidere, IL for 23 years; retiring in 1993. Todd has lived in Alberquerque, NM for the last 16 years. He is a member of Illinois Education Association and Bowie Knife Association. Todd enjoyed writing poetry and collecting western memorabilia. Survived by his wife Barbara; 2 sons: Theron (Jeanette) Moore, Alberquerque, NM; Jason (Tami) Moore, Alberquerque, NM. 5 Grandchildren all of Alberquerque, NM: Jonathan Carter, Danielle Carter, Mareya Gutierrez, Emma Moore, and Jacob Moore. 1 sister: Nancy (Wayne) Weier, Freeport, IL; 1 brother; Gary (Mary) Moore, Cherry Valley, IL. Predeceased by his parents, and 1 brother; Neal Moore. Services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Freeport Church of the Brethren, Freeport, IL at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Lisa Fike officiating. Burial at North Grove Christian Cemetery, Egan, IL. Visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to service time at the church. Memorial to Freeport Public Library. Arrangements by Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.
