Theodore "Ted" G Incontro

Theodore (Ted) G. Incontro, age 99, passed away at Timber Ridge at Talus, in Issaquah, WA on Monday, December 9, 2024. He was born on October 25, 1925 in East Saint Louis, IL, the son of Louis & Thelma (nee, Turner) Incontro.  He was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School, Mt. Morris, Il.

Ted married Jacquelyn (Jackie) Steed in 1952. She preceded him in death in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his long-term companion, Marilyn Muller.  Ted had been a long-term resident of Mt. Morris, Il until his move in January 2022 to Issaquah, WA to be near his daughter Connie.

Ted was a WWII veteran and served in the 315th Bomb Wing U.S. Army Air Corp, 20th Air Force, XX1 Bomber Command in the Pacific Theater. Ted spent his career in the printing industry with much of his career employed by Kable Printing Company, Mt. Morris, IL. He was a long-time member of the Mt. Morris Disciples United Methodist Church, where he served on several committees over the years. He was active as a Boy Scout and a Boy Scout/Explorer leader for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.

Ted is survived by his daughter, Connie Incontro Peterson (Bellevue, WA), son, Steven (New York, NY), and a grandson, Nicholas Steed Peterson (Bellevue, WA).  Ted is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, William (Bill) and his wife, Jackie.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Mt. Morris, IL

The family asks that you do not send flowers, but to please send memorials to the Disciples United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris or the Mt. Morris Public Library.
