Sue Smith

Oregon, IL; Sue Smith, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 1, 2019. Sue was born on November 21, 1943 in Oregon, IL the daughter of Leon & Polly (Black) Toms. She married Robert Smith and he preceded her in death. Sue has lived in this community her entire life. She graduated from Oregon High School. She was a member of the Moose Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She was the "Best Mom In The World". Sue is survived by her four children; Adam Smith, Amy Smith, Shelly Gertmann, and Dawn Degarmo; eight grandchildren: Garrett Elliott, Chenelle Benton, Amber Ruthe, Peyton Smith, Addison Smith, Avery Burke, Grace Smith, Damon Degarmo, and Ashton Smith; Four great-grandchildren: Laura Benton, Paisley Benton, Sawyer Benton and Lane Elliott; One brother Larry Toms. Sue is preceded in death by her parents. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL. A celebration of life for Sue will be announced at a later date.
