Leaf River, IL, Stanley E. Lawrence, age 72, died Wednesday April 17, 2013 in KSB Hospital, Dixon, IL. Stan was born in Lewis Town, IL on October 14, 1940 the son of Lester & Oris (Clary) Lawrence. He graduated from Sterling Township High School class of 1958. Stan was in US Army from 1963 to 1965. Stan married Janet Moore on November 21, 1965 in Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church. Stan worked at Kent Feeds as a quality control supervisor for 30 years, and he worked for the Mt. Morris Township. Stan lived in Como, IL moving to Mt. Morris/ Leaf River area after his discharge from the US Army. Stan was an FFA Alumni. Stan is Survived by his Wife Janet Lawrence, Leaf River, IL; Son: Joel (Jill) Lawrence, Mt. Morris, IL. Grandchildren: Heidi (Chad) Lessen, Leaf River, IL, Sarah (Brooks) Cann, Oswego, IL, Lindsey Ruzicka, Byron, IL, Lauren (Kevin) Schuch, Moline, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Lincoln Smith, Byron, IL, Garrett Lesson, Leaf River, IL, Cambria Cann, Oswego, IL, Luke Schuch, Moline, IL, Alexis Moore, Polo, IL; 3 Brothers and 5 Sisters and several nieces and nephews. Relatives that preceded Stan in death are his parents. Funeral services will be Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Bruce McKanna officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be in The Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church on April 20, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. till service time.
