Silas Jackson “Jack” Deen, age 77, of Adeline, Illinois passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. He was born May 3, 1948, in Sedgwick, AR to Henry and Gay Deen. The second of four children, Jack married Barbara “Bobbi” England in 1974, raising four children together. Jack retired from Quality Metal Finishing after many years of service and commitment. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack is survived by wife Bobbi, his brother Bill (Cheryl) Deen, sister Sandy (Phil) Bennett, sister Betty (Steve)Ambruster, children, Teresa Shepard, Jennifer Sanders, James (Nicole) Deen, and Melissa (Carl) Mitchell, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his sister Margaret, infant child Jimmy Deen, and his parents, Henry and Gay Deen.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, starting at 11 am at “The Barn” 7767 W White Eagle Road, Leaf River, IL.
