Shirley was born May 8, 1940 in Dante, VA the daughter of Willie & Molly (Fields)Salyer. She graduated from East High School, Rockford, IL, the Class of 1958. Shirley married Royal E. Zellers October 14, 1967 in Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death June 18, 1989. Shirley was a homemaker and she was a member of the Mt. Morris Women of The Moose. Shirley is survived by Daughters: Tina Zellers, Byron, IL; and Tanya (Peter) Peterson, Rockton, IL. 3 Grandchildren: Katie Magadance, Byron, IL; and Matthew & Chelsea Peterson, Rockton, IL. 1 Brother: Arthur (June) Salyer, Rockford, IL. 3 Sisters: Jean (Edward) Phillips, New Milford, IL; Margaret Little, Davis Junction, IL; and Elizabeth (Arlene) Lucas, South Beloit, IL. She is preceded in death by Parents; Husband; 1 sister: Virginia Salyer; 3 Brothers: Buford, Carl, and Fletcher Salyer. Funeral services will be at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday November 29, 2011 in Finch Funeral Home 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. till service time in the Finch Funeral Home. Memorials to Ogle County Hospice and/or Leaf River fire department.
