Shirley A Orr

Mt. Morris, IL, Shirley A. Orr, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 10, 2021 in her home with her family by her side.  Shirley was born on April 3, 1941 in Cambridge, IL the daughter of Gail & Marjorie (Peterson) Moore.  She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1959.  Shirley is an Augustana Infant Nursery school class of 1960 graduate, and she worked at Wesley Memorial Hospital (Northwestern Hospital), Chicago, IL in the nursery until August 1965 when she married Glen Orr.

Shirley married Glen Orr on August 15, 1965 in Cambridge, IL.

Shirley was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and she would do anything for her family.  She was a life master since August 1977 of the American Contract Bridge League, and she loved her small dogs.

Shirley is survived by her husband: Glen Orr, Mt. Morris, IL; son: David Orr, LaCrosse WI; daughter: Kathleen Orr, Oak Grove, KY; granddaughter: Krystal Cortez, San Marcos, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Don Moore; and sister: Joyce Robinson.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date this year.

Burial was held in Oakwood Cemetery.
