Sally A Holtapp

Mt. Morris, IL, Sally A. Holtapp, age 67, died Friday December 26, 2014 in her home in Mt. Morris, IL. Sally was born September 18, 1947 in Oregon, IL the daughter of Paul & Betty (Stonebraker) Guyer. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1965 as a Mounder. Sally married Glendon Holtapp Jr. on May 19, 1967 in Oregon, IL. Sally worked as a radio dispatcher for Mt. Morris for 26 years and was Co-Owner of Ultimate Designs for 18 years. She was a member of Disciples United Methodist Church, member of the Ladies of the Moose, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, head of Salvation Army. Sally loved garage sales and second hand stores, playing bingo, and spending time with her family. She also loved her family trips to Disney World, and helping many people, giving second chances, and she enjoyed her luncheons with classmates. Sally is survived by her husband: Glen Holtapp, Mt. Morris, IL; Daughters: Haley Holtapp, Mt. Morris, IL and Hiedi (Tim) VandeSand, Mt. Morris, IL. Grandsons: Steve Holtapp, Zander, Zayden, and Zyah VandeSand all of Mt. Morris. Brother: Hale (Elaine) Guyer, Byron, IL. Nephew: Scot Dewall. Special friends: Connie Mongan, who has helped at the shop since Sally's illness and Kathy Clark who did not miss a day of visiting. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 3, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held Saturday January 3, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials to Serenity Hospice & Home.
