On the 11th of September, 2015, Sabina "Olga" Carreño, age 57, of Davis Junction, lost her courageous fight against cancer, while surrounded by her loved ones, at Serenity Home and Hospice in Oregon, IL. Sabina, was born in Tepalcingo, Morelos, Mex. to Agapito Rivas and Eliazar Manzanares on September 12, 1957. She is survived by her husband, Juan H. Carreño, her loving children, Eligio Carreño, Juan Carlos Carreño, Ana Luisa Domínguez, Israel Carreño, and beloved grandchildren, Miguel, Juan, Jilberto "Berto", Daniel (Domínguez), Niel, Anthony, Ava, Yovanni, Grace (Carreño). Sabina Carreño loved spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and preparing delicious Mexican meals. She also enjoyed playing her crossword and Bingo scratch off tickets, collecting coins, gathering clothing and toys for needy families in her hometown. Sabina will be remembered by her family and friends as a one of the most caring and thoughtful ladies who always had a smile on her face and would light up a room as soon as she entered. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home. Sabina "Olga" Carreño, edad 57, de Davis Junction, perdió su valiente batalla contra el cáncer rodeada de sus seres queridos en Serenity Home and Hospice en Oregon, IL., el 11 de septiembre del 2015. Sabina, nació en Tepalcingo, Morelos, México, a Agapito Rivas y Eliazar Manzanares el 12 de septiembre de 1957. Le sobrevive su esposo, Juan H. Carreño, sus amorosos hijos, Eligio Carreño, Juan Carlos Carreño, Ana Luisa Domínguez, Israel Carreño, y sus queridos nietos, Miguel, Juan, Jilberto "Berto", Daniel (Domínguez), Niel, Anthony, Ava, Yovanni, Grace (Carreño). Sabina Carreño amaba pasar tiempo con su familia, ir a los eventos deportivos de sus nietos y preparar deliciosos platillos Mexicanos. Ella también disfrutaba jugar los boletos de lotería de Crucigramas y Bingo, colectar monedas, y juntar ropa y juguetes para las familias necesitadas de su pueblo nativo. Sabina será recordada por su familia y amigos como una de las personas más bondadosas y atentas que siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro y que alumbraba un cuarto cuándo ella entraba.
