Ruth Evelyn Atkinson

Mt. Morris, IL, Ruth Evelyn Atkinson, age 91, passed away on October 12, 2021 in Pincrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL.  Ruth was born on February 15, 1930 in Whiteside County, IL; the daughter of Galen G. & Iva R. (Fike) Gerdes.  She graduated from Pearl City High School class of 1948, and she graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Luke Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago, IL.  Ruth Married Earl L. Atkinson on June 13, 1953 in Chicago, IL; and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2002.

Ruth was a registered Nurse for 20 years in Hastings, Michigan retiring in 2002.  She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, and husband: Earl.
