Rose M Brown

Sterling, IL, Rose Marie Brown, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2022 in Parkway Center, Sterling, IL.  She was born on January 23, 1929 in Parsons, KS, the daughter of Ralph & Nellie (Dorsett) Pritchard.  Rose attended Nelson Grade School and was a 1947 graduate of Rock Falls High School.  Rose married Charles L. Brown Jr in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1990; Together they had 5 children.

Rose was a devout Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Church.  She was a hair dresser for many years and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her children: Kathy (Dan) Dorner, Julie Elliott, Aaron (Teresa) Brown, and Darby (Linda) Brown; grandchildren: Duffy (Nance) Dorner, Keelie (Marty) Pugliese, A.W. Brown, Jenny Matticks, Taylor (Ryan) Poulter, Tierney (Dustin) Nelson, Conner Brown, Shayla Brown, Sira (Brent) Gaffey, Jacob Dorner, Efraim Young, Killian (Ali) Dorner, Aidan Brown, Macaire Brown, Brodie Henson, Bailey Dorner, Lindsay (Jeff) Rabuck; many great grandchildren; and her sister: June.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Charles; infant daughter: Mary; brother: Leo; sister: Lois; grandson: Drew; granddaughter: Athena.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL.  There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
