Mt. Morris, IL Robert D. Macklin, age 72, passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2025 in Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL. Robert was born on January 2, 1953 in Peru, IL; the son of Dean & Mabel (Sprague) Macklin. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1971. Robert married Kimberly Petitt on March 29, 1988 in Las Vegas, NV.
Robert worked for Raynor Garage Doors as a truck driver, retiring in 2019. He was a member of the Carpenters Union.
He is survived by his wife: Kimberly; daughter: Molly (Eric) Towle; grandson: Ezra Towle; brothers: Frank C. Macklin, Brian (Karen) Macklin; and sister: Lou Anne (Gary) Gentsch.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
Services are pending with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL 61054.
