Robert S Janssen

Oregon, IL. - Robert S. Janssen, age 79, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 23, 1933 in White Rock Township, IL the son of Simon Anton and Tillie (Terveile) Janssen. He graduated from Kings High School. He served in Germany in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a truck driver for Wausau, Raynor, and Forney trucking companies, retiring in 2005. He is a lifetime area resident. He was a member of the Mount Morris Moose Lodge and the Oregon VFW. Robert was a "handyman of everything." Robert is survived by a daughter Peggy Janssen of Mt. Morris, IL; Granddaughter, Nicole Hachmeister of Woodridge, IL; also several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also, survived by one sister Ann. Preceded in death by his parents; a son Rory "Butch; and a sister Jan. Cremation rites accorded to Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL 61054.
