He graduated from Byron High School class of 1948. Robert served during the Korean Conflict. Robert was a lifetime Leaf River area farmer. Robert is survived by Brother: Patrick Donaldson, Rockford, IL; Sisters: Geraldine Mathews, Byron, IL; Sharon Meline, Stephens Point, WI; Sheila (Roger) Lemke, Byron, IL; Sister- in- Laws: Rose Donaldson, Ridott, IL and Patsy Donaldson, Oregon, IL. 8 Nephews and 8 Nieces. Robert is Preceded in death by Parents, Brothers: Richard and John, Nephew: Timothy; Niece: Sheryl McArthur; Brothers-in-Law: Kenneth Meline and Richard Mathews. Visitation will be Saturday March 31, 2012 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the American Cancer Association
