Rick Lee Hagemann

Mt. Morris, IL, Rick Lee Hagemann, age 60, passed away on Thursday May 4th, 2017 in the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison, WI surrounded by his family. Rick was born August 19, 1956 in Freeport, IL the son of Arnold & Alice (Baker) Hagemann. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1975. Rick enlisted into the Army after graduation, serving from 1975 to 1978 with two years in Bamburg, Germany as a tank mechanic. Rick worked as a printing pressman at Quebecor and D.B. Hess Printing; he also worked for Shaw Valley Media. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and enjoyed many NASCAR races at Daytona, Bristol, and Chicago land. Rick is survived by his children: Natasha Hagemann, Leaf River, IL and Tyler Hagemann, Ankney, IA; granddaughter: Hailey Call, Leaf River, IL; mother: Alice Hagemann, Mt. Morris, IL; sisters: Vicky (James) Beers, Chester, IL; Sheri (Scott) Taylor, Roscoe, IL; and Bonnie Freidag, Lanark, IL; an uncle, several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rick is preceded in death by his father: Arnold; maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt, and several uncles. A visitation will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. Private family burial will be later in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Memorials to be determined. The family would like to thank the VA Hospital for the wonderful care Rick received and a special thanks to the hospice unit for the compassionate care they gave Rick and our family along with the final military salute.
