Richard L Wilkinson

MT. Morris, IL, Richard L. Wilkinson, age 74, passed away on Thursday April 11, 2024 in Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon, IL.   Rich was born on May 18, 1949 in Coral Gables, FL; the son of David E. & Frieda J (Beck) Wilkinson.  He graduated from Assumption High School in Davenport, IA.  Rich married Deborah Holtman on July 25, 1970 in Kings, IL.  Rich served in the United States Army.  After the service he entered law enforcement; and joined the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office serving his county for 35 years.

Rich is survived by his wife: Deb Wilkinson, Mt. Morris, IL; 2 sons: Richard J Wilkinson, Mt. Morris, IL and Jason L (Tammy) Wilkinson, Killeen, TX; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Chuck (Susan) Wilkinson, Cottontown, TN and David (Rhonda) Wilkinson, Bettendorf, IA; sister: Sally (John) Rottman, Maple Grove, MN.

Rich is preceded in death by his father: David; mother: Frieda; step-mother: Mary.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  Rich will be buried in White Rock Cemetery.
