Richard E Schrank

Richard Schrank, 75, of Rockford, Illinois passed away Saturday July 2, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer.  Richard was born December 21, 1946 in Waupaca, WI, the son of Ferdinand and Doris Schrank.  Richard married Billie Horejs on August 31, 1968 and had enjoyed each other’s love for almost 47 years before she had passed on April 7, 2015.  Richard was a father, grandfather, and friend to many.  His children and grandchldren were his pride and joy.  He was a hardworking, dedicated husband, father and grandfather that cherished life.

Richard served in United States Army from 1966 – 1968, and was stationed in Germany, as he was part of the First Battalion, 35th Armored Division.

Upon his return to the US, he started his professional career working at 7-Up Bottling Corporation, Oshkosh, WI.  In 1980 Richard moved his family to Rockford, IL to take over the management responsibilities for the Royal Crown Cola; Rockford Nehi R.C. Inc. Richard finished his career with Broaster Company, Beloit, Wisconsin from 1993-2013 where he retired from.

Richard is survived by sons Scott and wife Kari and their daughters Ellie and Emily of Centerton, Arkansas;  Cory and wife Rachel and their sons Cole, Reed and daughter Campbell of Rockford, Illinois; daughter Angela Anderson and husband Sean and their son Owen and daughter Bailey of S. Beloit, Wisconsin..

Richard is survived by his three sisters Cheri LaFontaine and husband Jim LaFontaine; Donna Czipri and husband Hans Czipri; Janice Schrank; sister-in-laws Judy Schrank, Karen Schrank and Sharon Schrank with numerous nieces and nephews.  Richard also is preceded in death by his brothers Russell, Allyn, and Keith Schrank.
