Mt. Morris, IL, Richard A. Personette, age 64, passed away August 11, 2016 in KSB Hospital, Dixon, IL. He was born December 12, 1951 in Rockford, IL the son of Frank & Lois (Frey) Personette. Richard graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1970. Richard married Pamela VanBuskirk on June 1, 1971 in the Mt. Morris Brethren Church, and they were married 45 years. Richard enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, Nascar (18 Kyle Busch), and besides his family his other love in his life was the Mt. Morris Fire Department. Richard is survived by his wife: Pamela Personette, Mt. Morris, IL; 2 sons: Jeffrey (Audra) Personette, Dixon, IL and Daniel Personette, Mt. Morris, IL; 2 grandchildren: Beth Personette, DeKalb, IL and Tyler Personette, Dixon, IL; 2 great-grandchildren; Uncle: Bob (Kathi) Personette, Mt. Morris, IL; sister-in-law: Carol Strount, Auburn, PA. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brother: James, and all grandparents. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2016 in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Josh Ehrler officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday August 16, 2016 in Finch Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorials to Mt. Morris Fire Department and/or Mt. Morris Loaves & Fish.
