Mt. Morris, IL - Pamela Ann Hilgert, age 57, died April 27, 2011 in her home. Pamela was born September 17, 1953, the daughter of Russell & Bennie (Flippen) Hilgert. She graduated from Grant Park High School class of 1971, she then attended Northern Illinois University achieving a Master's in Education. Pamela married Don Atkinson on January 19, 2010 in Ogle County, IL. She was a principal in the Rockford School District and she also taught the gifted program through Rochelle School District. Member of the Illinois Education Association and National Education Association. Pamela was a member of the American Black & Tan Coonhound Club and Dog Handler. Pamela is survived by her husband Don, Oregon, IL; Sister Beverly (Dan) Compton, Charlotte, NC. Preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Brother Mark. Memorial Service will be Saturday May 7, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL with the Rev. Ron Rock officiating.
