- Neita Aileen Bjorklund, 83, of Mount Morris died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mount Morris. Born Oct., 22, 1925, in the family home in Eagle Point Township, Ogle County, daughter of Paul Weigle and Mildred (Ports) Weigle. Graduated from Polo High School, Class of 1943 and attended Rockford Business College. Married Ronald Bjorklund on Jan. 6, 1974, in Oregon. Lived in Mount Morris for 63 years. Employed as a secretary at Kable News Co. in Mount Morris, previously worked for a local seed corn business in Polo, Watt Publishing Co. and was a day care provider. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose 985, Mount Morris and held the College of Regents degree. As a young girl Neita was a member of the girl's community 4-H Club, United Brethren Brick Church in Polo and participated in and won many spelling bees. She also played alto saxophone in the Polo High School band. Survivors include husband, Ron Bjorklund; sons, Casey (Shareen) Buck and Clancy Buck, all of Polo; daughters, Sandra (George) Grobe of Rockford, Julie (Doug) Shank of Huntley and Bridget (Rob) Lester of Liberty, Mo.; stepsons, Bruce (Keatha) Bjorklund of Canton, S.D., David (Beverly) Bjorklund of Byron and Wayne (Marcy) Bjorklund of Oregon; stepdaughter, Nancy (Michael) Prier of West Burlington, Iowa; seven grandsons; four granddaughters; four stepgrandsons; four stepgraddaughters; seven great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; sisters, Doris (Dwight) Silvius and Phylis (Bud) Davis, all of Polo. Predeceased by parents; brother, Gene Weigle; two infant sisters; and grandson, Michael Cross. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Morris, the Rev. Steven Erickson, pastor, officiating. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in Finch Funeral Home. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Morris Senior Center or Ogle County Hospice.
