Nancy Carol Reber, born September 29, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in West Chicago, Illinois, was the beloved daughter of Roy and Carol Rodgers.
On December 2, 1972, Nancy married the love of her life, Daniel Dean Reber. Together they built a life centered around love and family, raising their three sons in Wheaton, Illinois, before relocating to Oregon, Illinois, in 1989.
Nancy was a devoted mother to Tom (Lee) Reber, Doug (Kristen) Reber, and Jeff (Myria Bailey) Reber. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Katlyn (Brody) Grobe, Issac (MaKenna Mongan) Reber, Kaydin Reber, Noah Reber, Kamri Reber, Dakota Reber, Tiga Reber, Iris Reber, Jake Bailey, Caleb Bailey, Landon Bailey, and Carli Bailey. She was also joyfully awaiting the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Baby Grobe, expected in March 2026, and is further survived by her great-granddaughter Stormy Reber.
Nancy is survived by her siblings, Diane Rodgers and Roy Rodgers, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews, including Mike Gangestad, Brian Gangestad, Tim (Jamie) Gangestad, Sarah Huttunen, Austin Rodgers, and Haley Rodgers.
Nancy dedicated several years of her life to working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she compassionately cared for others. She later worked as a waitress at Blackhawk Steak Pit alongside John and Peter Tsioles, where she became well known for her warm personality, attentive service, and the many cocktails and kiddie cocktails she served with a smile.
Above all, Nancy will be remembered as a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and dedication to her family were the center of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home in Nancy’s honor, with gratitude for the compassionate care and support provided to her and her family.
