Mt. Morris, IL - Muriel M. Dickson, age 94, died February 12, 2011 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Muriel was born February 1, 1917 in Franklin Grove, IL the daughter of Charles & Mary (George) Weybright. She attended Franklin Grove Schools and graduated from Urbana High School. Muriel married John D. Dickson September 8, 1945 in Mt. Morris, IL, he preceded her in death January 22, 1999. Together they enjoyed books, history, current events, friends and family, nature, and worked together in their woods outside Mt. Morris. Muriel was a homemaker and active member of the Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren for over 60 years. She served as a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, and sang in the Choir. Muriel volunteered at Pinecrest Manor, and supported Camp Emmaus as a camp counselor and led nature walks. Muriel is survived by 2 Daughters: Gayle (Bill) Noonkesser, Travelers Rest, SC and Dianne (Frank) Swingel of Oregon, IL. 6 Grandchildren, Steve (Ida) Noonkesser, Dillingham, AK; Sarah (Scott) Strauss, Glennallen, AK; Bill (Linda) Noonkesser, Travelers Rest, SC; Jeanette Noonkesser, Glennallen, AK; Matt (Kristen) Hollinger, Rockton, IL; Katie (Blake) Pattermann, Yorkville, IL; and 18 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Parents; Husband, John; Brothers, Leslie and Claire Weybright; Sister, Olive Corbett. Funeral Service will be Thursday February 17, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. in Mt. Morris Church of The Brethren with Rev. Ginny Haney officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Dixon, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday February 16, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. In Lieu of flowers memorials to Mt.
