Michael W "Mick" Hokanson

Michael W. "Mick" Hokanson, age 63, of Mt. Morris, IL, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2016 at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, IL after a long battle with cancer. Mick was born on August 10, 1953 in Oregon, IL the son of Arthur & Dorothy (Wolfe) Hokanson. Mick married Lori Wolff on March 24, 2016 in Oregon, IL. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1971. Mick served his country in The United States Air Force from 1976 to 1984. He worked security and drove trucks over the road before retiring. He loved his Chicago Bears and LA Dodgers. Mick is survived by his wife: Lori Wolff, Mt. Morris, IL; brother: Jeff (Patricia) Hokanson, Port Byron, IL; niece: Erin (Tim) Wagner, Madison, WI; nephew: Erich (Jenny) Hokanson, Port Byron, IL; 4 great nephews: Jamie, Logan, Joseph, and Hugo. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. A military service will be held Saturday February 18, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Oak Lane of Oregon, Oregon, IL, The service will take place at 1:30 P.M. A Celebration of Life Party will be held on March 18, 2017 in the Janesville VFW, Janesville, WI from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
