Polo, IL, Melvin Peterson, age 73, passed away February 21, 2026 quietly at home after a long illness. He loved riding his antique tractors, building and running his train layout, and talking on the phone with his friends.
Melvin is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara, son Anthony (Shelly), son Michael, daughter Lisa, son Melvin Jr. (Kalah), many grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved and was very proud of.
Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, IL.
