Mary Ann Webb

April 30, 1939 — November 9, 2024

Mt. Morris

With the holding of deep sadness it must be said that Mary Ann Webb (Tait) passed away peacefully at St. Anthony Medical Center in the early morning hours of November 9th, 2024 after a brief battle with several illnesses.

Born in Evanston, Illinois on Sunday, April 30th, 1939 to Joseph Richard (Dick) Tait and Laura Hecker (Nee'Beech). Mary spent her younger years growing up on the family farm in Amboy, Illinois with her fun and funny brother Joe Tait whom she was very fond of. In her younger years she looked forward to coming home from school to ride her horse and continued to ride over the years, her favorite horse being her beloved Blackjack. She graduated from Amboy High School on May 24th, 1957. She worked as a switchboard operator for Borg Warner for many years and she proudly retired from there.

Mary was a long-time resident of Mount Morris, Illinois. She enjoyed her quiet times at her home, quilting by hand, doing needlepoint, taking care of her beautiful flower garden, sitting with her dog Cassi and chatting with her neighbors outside.

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother Joe along with her companion animals Blackjack, dobermans Lacy, Molley and Annie (to name a few).

She is survived by her sweet doberman Cassi, her very special niece Karen Tait along with her niece and nephew Christina Tait and Joe Tait. In addition, she leaves behind her steadfast friend, helper and long-time neighbor Dawn (Willis) Manser, friends and assistants Rose and Greg Wolter plus many great neighbors that cared for her too.

Per her request, there will be no funeral or visitation services. Her ashes will be laid to rest along side her beloved companion animals.
