Mary V Arndt

Mt. Morris, IL, Mary V. Arndt, age 94, died February 11, 2013 in her home. Mary was born December 16, 1918 in Hanna, IN the daughter of Frank M. & Eva F. (Christoph) Bales. She graduated from Union Township High school, IN. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Bethel College. Mary married Wayne Arndt in Hamlet, IN on September 27, 1941. Mary was a teacher in the LaPorte Community Schools, LaPorte, IN for 27 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of Disciples United Methodist Church, and she was a past Matron of the Order of The Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughters: Sandy (Charley) Armbruster, Mt. Morris, IL and Sheri (Bill Furnari) Van Schoyck, Los Lunas, NM. Grandchildren: Mindy (Erik) Arden, St. Paul, MN; Justin (Anne) Armbruster, Springfield, IL; Jodi (Mark) Leary, Oregon, IL; Joshua (Jessica) Armbruster, Mt. Morris, IL. 9 Great-Grandchildren. Mary is Preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Wayne; 2 Brothers: Howard and William Bales; 3 Sisters: Josephine Kegebein, Jane Gappa, and June Binkley. Funeral Services will be Thursday February 14, 2013 11:00 A.M. in Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Doc Newcomb officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be Thursday February 14, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in the Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt, Morris, IL. In Lieu of flowers memorials to Disciples United Methodist Church and/or Serenity Hospice and Home.
