Marion W Morrison

Oregon, IL, Marion W. Morrison, age 89, passed away on Monday August 17, 2026 in Shepherd Premier Senior Living, Oregon, IL with her loving daughters beside her. She was on Born December 8, 1936; the daughter of Walter & Marian (Callahan) Wirz. She attended Evergreen School and graduated from Rockford West High School class of 1954.

Marion worked as an administrative assistant for Area Erectors retiring on December 20, 2019. She loved to work where she worked until she was 82. Marion referred to herself as an old farm girl growing up on a strawberry farm on the southwest side of Rockford.

Marion is survived by her daughters: Jodi Pumilia-Benson, Shreveport, LA; Jan (Matthew) Freed, Oregon, IL; Jennifer (Troy) Fox, Mt. Morris, IL; 10 grandchildren: Amber (Tom) Bennett, Granbury, TX; Jaclyn (Jacob) Sklavanitis, Mt. Morris, IL; Jessica Knight, Granbury, TX; JR (Mandie) Miller, Dixon, IL; Jordyn (Ben) Jacobs, Oldsmar, FL; Taylor (Devin) Todd, Chana, IL; Christopher Pumilia, Shreveport, LA; Ryan (Morgan) Miller, Dixon, IL; Josey and Jackson Fox, Mt. Morris, IL; 15 great grandchildren; sister: Dorothy Brayton, Rockford, IL; nephew: Steven Brayton, Rockford, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to give special thanks to her hospice nurse Kelly from Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, IL for her compassion and outstanding care we are blessed Kelly and Mom’s paths crossed. As well as the staff at Shepherd Premier Living Center.
