Marie Ann Nanninga

Prophetstown, IL, Marie Ann Nanninga, age 91, formerly of Mt. Morris, IL, died Tuesday June 14, 2016 in Good Samaritan Society, Prophetstown, IL. Marie was born August 3, 1924 in Winnebago, IL the daughter of Clarence & Grace (Lameyer) Last. She graduated from Leaf River High School. Marie married Dick Nanninga on February 14, 1942 in Mt. Morris, IL, and he preceded her in death, July 2000. Marie was an avid gardener, loved children, loved to cook and bake, and she was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. Marie is survived by her 2 sons: Dick Nanninga, Beloit, WI and Ross Nanninga, Erie, IL; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother: Marvin Last, Rock City, IL; sister: Emily Good, North Branch, MN. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Dick; daughter: Vicky Hay; 2 grandchildren: John Aebly and James Nanninga; brothers: John, Bob, Clarence, Carl, and Frederick; Sister: Elaine. Funeral services will be held Monday June 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL, with Rev. Josh Ehrler officiating. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. Visitation will be Monday June 20, 2016 in Finch Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until Service Time. In lieu of flowers memorials to Mt. Morris Public Library.
