Lifelong Mt. Morris resident Marian Elizabeth Gray, 98, passed peacefully at home amidst the love of her family on May 6, 2015. Born to Walter and Sarah McNett on Jan. 31, 1917. MMHS Class of '35. National Honor Society, Pepster's president and always a Mounder. Loving wife of William Gray, mother of Sally and Nancy, grandmother of Sean, sister of Robert, Maurice, Helen, Rebecca and Richard McNett; sister and daughter-in-law, aunt to her dear nieces, nephews and their children, close friend to many and best friends with her sweet pug Nomar. Predeceased by her parents, husband, siblings and many close friends. Member of Disciples United Methodist Church and the Mt. Morris Senior Center. Employed by Kable Printing and Watt Publishing. Lifetime member of the Mt. Morris Sewing Club from 1933 to present. Loved family reunions, holidays, cross country trips, her home town, Wrigley Field and autumn excursions to nearby states. A passionate Cubs fan, she was excited about and cheered on the 2015 team. She holds a special place in the hearts of family and friends. The Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home. 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, Il. with Rev. Dwight Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home.
