Margaret Ann Sweeney Born: January 22, 1941 Died: November 19, 2022 MT. MORRIS, IL - Margaret Ann (Mueller) Sweeney, age 81, of Mt. Morris, IL, peacefully passed away at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon on November 19, 2022, after a brief illness. Margaret was born on January 22, 1941, at home in Paynes Point, IL, the youngest daughter of Henry and Jeanetta (Bolthouse) Mueller. Margaret grew up in the Paynes Point area and graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1959. On June 19, 1965, Margaret married Richard (Dick) Sweeney in Paynes Point, IL. They had one son, Joel. They moved to Mt. Morris, Illinois, where Margaret was employed in the bindery at Kable Printing/Quebecor for 38 years. Throughout her life, Margaret spent much of her time helping others. She enjoyed visits with her extended family and friends, watching game shows on television, and attending plays and entertainment shows with her brother and nieces. Margaret is survived by her son: Joel (Stephanie) Sweeney, Paynes Point, IL; 2 grandchildren: Mackenzie and Carson Sweeney; 2 great-grandchildren: Luna and Oliver; special step-grandchildren: Travis and Candace Hanlin; brother: Raymond Mueller, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Henry and Jeanetta, and her sister, Irma (Mueller) Deporter. The family wishes to thank the staff at Pinecrest Manor and Serenity Hospice & Home for their kindness, compassion and outstanding care during her brief stay at their facilities. Cremation rites have been accorded with Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
