Mt. Morris, IL - Margaret J. Kested, age 89, died May 4, 2011, in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Margaret was born September 22, 1921 in Mt. Morris, IL, the daughter of Jesse Q. & Lellia Mae (Tice) Allen. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School Class of 1939. Margaret Married Edward W. Hollinger in Mt. Morris, IL, he preceded her in death on August 15, 1977. She then married Everett R. Kested, December 26, 1983 in Mt. Morris, IL. She was an Advertising Assistant with Watt Publishing Company, Mt. Morris, IL retiring in 1980. Margaret was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL; Sunset Golf Club; Women of the Moose; Mt. Morris Senior Center; and the VFW Post 8739 Auxillary, Oregon, IL. For over 20 years she was the pitcher for the Mt. Morris Ladies Softball Team. Margaret for most of her life enjoyed bowling, and she bowled several perfect 300 games. Margaret is survived by Husband Everett Kested, Mt. Morris, IL; Son: Gary (Betsy) Hollinger , Oregon, IL; Daughters: Janet (Gary) Messer, Dixon, IL; Nancy (Gary) Junker, Findlay, OH; Step-Daughter: Judy Miller, Wausau, WI. 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st Husband, Edward Wayne Hollinger, brothers: Robert and Roy Allen, Sisters: Ethel Yeakel and Myrtle Allen. Funeral Service will be Saturday May 7, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Morris, IL with the Rev. Steven Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, IL. Visitation will be Saturday May 7, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. till service time in the Church.
