Mabel E Clark

Mabel E. Clark passed away June 11, 2026 at the age of 99 in Rochelle, Illinois. She was born in Tama, Iowa on April 7, 1927 to William W. Abbott and Elizabeth Spencer. Mabel was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Calvin Clark ( 2017 ). Cal and Mabel were married on June 10, 1944. Mabel was also predeceased by her son C. Bruce Clark ( 2015 ) and daughter Stephanie Ann Clark ( 1969 ). She is survived by her daughter Lalie Clark ( Chip Harshbarger ), 1 sister, 1 brother, grandchildren Shawn Clark ( Cindy ), Cal Clark ( Caitlin ), C J Clark, Mathew Clark, great grandchildren Casey Clark ( Caitlyn ), Taylor Ziemer ( Matt ), Camille Clark and four great great grandchildren Oliver, Kooper, Josie and Eloise.

Mabel and Cal, having moved from Iowa with their young children, spent most of their lives in Ashton, Illinois, where they enjoyed many friends and hosted many happy holidays with friends and relatives. Mabel is remembered as always having a positive attitude, living with kindness and grace.

We will never forget the happy holidays spent with Cal and Mabel. A private family service will be held at a later date.
