Lynn A Manis

Oregon, IL, Lynn A. Manis, age 73, died on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at his home after a short battle with cancer. Lynn was born November 11, 1941 (Armistice Day) in Freeport, IL the son of Mack & Roberta (Kaff) Manis. He attended Mt. Morris Schools. After high school he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Lynn worked as a Reviser at Prographics, Rockford, IL where he was employed for over 25 years. Lynn enjoyed reading, watching movies, trivia and was a Chicago Bears fan! Lynn is survived by 6 daughters: Kymberlee (John) Ubele of Georgia; Andrea (Mike Pontnack) Manis of Oregon, IL; Shannon Manis of Grand Detour, IL; Aimee Manis of Mt. Morris, IL; Rebecca (Mike) Benge of Oregon, IL; Heather Manis of Davis, IL, 1 son: Joe (Kristi Ellis) Manis, Raleigh, NC, 15 Grandchildren: Jeremiah & Jesse Ubele, Damon Manis, Crystin Martin, Chelsea Manis, Julian Manis, Derrick Stone, Shayne & Kenan Kraucunas, Courtney Barcai, Evan Ruthe, Kyle, Calvin & Chloe Clary, and Landon Manis, and 6 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 Nephews: Chris & Mike Reynolds. Lynn is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother: Jerrell, and Sister: Caroline. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 7:15 P.M. in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Morris, IL. Visitation will be held prior to service from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt Street, Mt. Morris, IL. Memorial Fund established at First National Bank in Oregon, IL. All funds will be used to help enrich the lives of our Veterans.
