Lorraine M Elsasser

Mt. Morris, IL, Lorraine M. Elsasser, age 95, passed away on January 1, 2019 in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Morris, IL. Lorraine was born on August 18, 1923 in Sterling, IL the daughter of Henry & Lettie (Delp) Grobe. She graduated from Sterling High School, Sterling, IL. Lorraine married Edwin Elsasser on November 27, 1943 in Sterling, IL and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2000. She was a member and very involved with Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church. Lorraine grew up in a farming family, which made her a very energetic and avid gardener. She was a family person who kept her family close to her heart. She collected owls and loved playing games with her family. Lorraine is survived by her children: Dan (Heather) Elsasser, Mt. Morris, IL; Judy (Myron) Coaty, Lena, IL; and Cindy Barton, Mt. Morris, IL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Edwin; son: Stan; 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with Rev. Tracy Singleton. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling, IL. Visitation on Saturday January 5, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Finch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials to Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church.
