Lonnie E Mathis

Adeline, IL; Lonnie E. Mathis, age 78, died January 16, 2013, in his home. Lonnie was born February 8, 1934 in North Moreland, Ohio, the son of James L. & Goldie R. (Rolfe) Mathis. Lonnie served in the United States Army. He married Doris O. Marshall on April 29, 1962 in River Grove, IL. Lonnie worked as a tool grinder for Barbara Coleman and Rockford Drillhead retiring in 2001. Lonnie is survived by wife: Doris Mathis, Adeline, IL; Brothers: James, Roger and Tom Mathis; Sisters: Norma Snyder, Leeta Stapleton, Mary Alice Sanford, Pat Rowe, Loretta King, Bonnie Taylor, Carolyn Pelfrey, and Lana Carr. Several Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, Stepmother: Maude Justice Mathis; Brothers: Bernie Ellis, Paul, Edward, Michael and James. Sister: Nora Justice. Service will be held January 19, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris, IL with the Rev. Marilyn Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Adeline Cemetery, Adeline, IL. Visitation will be Saturday January 19, 2013 in Finch Funeral Home from 12:30 till service time. Memorials to be established.
