Mount Morris, IL - Lola Mae Freimuth, 81, of Mount Morris died Thursday, April 23, 2009, in Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. Born May 3, 1927, in Mount Morris Township, the daughter of Edward R. and Edna M. (Paul) Stengel. Married George W. James on Nov. 20, 1948, in Mount Morris. Married Walter H. Freimuth on Nov. 17, 1978, in Chana. A lifelong community member, Lola worked as a bookbinder in the bindery department at Kable Printing Co., as a clerk for Royal Blue Store and Hough Hardware Co., and as a laborer for Atwood Corp. in Oregon. Attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Graduate of Mount Morris High School, Class of 1944. Survivors include son, David James of North Hollywood, Calif.; daughters, Janet Lawson and Louise James, both of Oregon; grandsons, John Lawson of Oregon, Daniel James of Canoga Park, Calif.; granddaughters, Mykil Hardesty and Rebecca Lawson, both of Oregon, and Janell James of Santa Clarita, Calif.; great-grandson, Caid Chenoweth of Oregon, and great-granddaughters, Samatha Lawson of Oregon and Rylee Bryn Keilin of Oregon; brother, Oren Stengel of Mount Morris; nephews, Floyd (Sandy) Derby of German Valley and Ralph (Liz) Derby of Forreston; nieces, Jean Young of Colorado, Sally (Jeff) Carlson of Spencer, Ind., and Sandra Stengel of Mount Morris. Predeceased by parents; husbands; and sisters, Grace Young and Alma Derby. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, in Trinity Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour beforehand; the Rev. Steven Erickson will officiate. Burial in West Grove Cemetery, Forreston. Memorials to Good Sam Fund, Pinecrest Manor, Mount Morris. Arrangements by Finch Funeral Home, 405 E. Hitt.
